Marvel’s Midnight Suns: How to get more Blueprints

The building blocks.

Blueprints, just like Essences, are an important material used in the card system of Marvel’s Midnight Suns. A single one of these is necessary if you want to create and duplicate certain hero abilities (i.e., 1x common Blueprint for 1x common card/ability). Here’s our Marvel’s Midnight Suns Blueprints guide to help you with the various means of obtaining this integral resource.

Mission Rewards

Acquiring Blueprints in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is still fairly straightforward. The most common method is by selecting missions with Blueprints as the reward. Remember that the rewards also have their own rarity, so you’ll need to level up and progress further in the campaign if you want to see epic and legendary variants. Moreover, you might see this as a possible challenge/side objective reward, which you can activate by spending Intel.

Blueprint Exchange

There’s another method to get Blueprints in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. For this, you’ll need the Book of Vishanti.

  • Try to finish two missions with Doctor Strange in your team.
  • While doing this, research Artifacts until you reach Forge Level 3.
  • Then, complete the Book of Vishanti research and spend credits to construct this Forge Upgrade.

This will unlock the Forge’s Blueprint Exchange function. You’ll see a couple of options here:

  • Salvaging – Convert a Blueprint of a higher rarity into two of a lower rarity (i.e., 1x epic for 2x rare). This can be helpful if, say, you keep getting a hero’s rare cards, but you need duplicates for a common ability.
  • Crafting – This requires 1x Blueprint of a lower rarity, as well as all three types of Esssences. The higher the quality, the more Essences will be spent.

Other Sources

Aside from the above, there are a few other sources of Blueprints in the game:

  • Mission Caches and Interrogation – The caches that you see in missions might have Blueprints in them. Moreover, interrogating a defeated foe could sometimes yield Blueprints.
  • Artifact Analysis – The Artifacts obtained in missions and analyzed by Doctor Strange may reward Blueprints.
  • Hero Requests – In a few cases, there are hero requests/tasks that net you the material, too.
