Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon was released in 2013 on Nintendo 3DS, and it’s regarded as one of the best Luigi’s Mansion entries. That said, this is a really good get for Nintendo Switch players!

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD release date

Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is coming to Nintendo Switch in summer 2024. Though we’d love to get a full release date that includes a month and a day, we’re happy to know that we’ll get Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD next summer.

I’ve noticed that Nintendo Directs are including more and more ambiguous release dates. New announcements always seem to have a summer, winter, or fall release date instead of identifying a month and a day. That or they release later that day, which is always great.

Not only are we getting Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD on Switch, but this new edition of the game also features a new four-player co-op mode. This wasn’t in Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, so this is an exciting new feature that will make Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD even better.

You’ll be able to play Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD in local or online four-player co-op. If you play online, you and your friends will need Nintendo Switch Online. You’ll be able to play specific floors and specific game modes like Rush, which requires you and your ghost hunters to clear out the ghosts on each floor as quickly as possible, and Polterpup, which requires you to hunt for polterpups with your Dark-Light Device.

If you missed Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, then you need to try Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. Personally, I’m very excited to try this title because I loved Luigi’s Mansion 3 and have never played Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. This is the perfect opportunity to check out what I missed.
