Edge: ‘Dead Space 2 Sets The Standard For Survival Horror’

Electronic Arts forthcoming horror epic Dead Space 2 is winning major praise, with 12 critics awarding it 90% or more on PS3, 15 on Xbox 360 and 4 on PC.
The title is riding high on Metacritic, with every one of the featured reviews heaping praise on the game.
Industry bible Edge wrote: “The game’s excellent controls and stream of grisly scares make it the current standard for survival horror, and it now boasts eruptions of blockbusting action that rival this generation’s biggest games.”
The US edition of the Official PlayStation Magazine wrote: “With meticulous polish, top-quality gameplay, and more than enough scream-like-a-little-girl moments, Space 2 surpasses the original in every capacity. Factor in its gruesome dismemberments and spectacular zero-G and there’s truly nothing else like it.”
Dead Space 2 is out this Friday on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
