Asheron’s Call: Massive Graphics Overhaul On Way

Turbine has revealed that the graphics in its long-running MMO Asheron’s Call will be getting a massive overhaul. Community manager Frelorn dropped the bombshell earlier, simply linking three before and after shots. The images, seen below, compare the graphics in a desert-like region showing improved textures in the sand. Another one is set in a rural village, and you can clearly see the improvements on the grass and the paving. Finally, the updated ice textures are shown in a couple of shots from a tundra-like region. The game’s producer, Severlin, stepped in to the discussion on the forums and told excited readers that the update was likely to take place in November to coincide with the game’s anniversary.
