Former Looking Glasser Doug Church Hired By Valve

Interesting news for fans of the Looking Glass Studios catalogue of games today, as Valve reveals that the company has hired Doug Church.
Church (shown here in his spooky-eyed days) worked on Thief, System Shock, Deus Ex and Ultima Underground. If none of those games mean anything to you, you’re either quite young or had quite a different formative gaming experience to the rest of us.
Valve’s Doug Lombardi has told Gamasutra that Church has been with the team for a couple of weeks, though is coy about what specific project he’s working on at this stage.
It’s clearly early days, but the combination of Valve and Doug Church is one with intriguing possibilities.
