Risen 2: Dark Waters Announced

Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes have announced Risen 2: Dark Waters, the sequel to their original RPG which was released bacl in 2009.
This new title takes place several years after the first game, and since then, monstrous creatures have risen from the watery depths of the sea causing havoc to all seafaring vessels. As the hero, players will attempt to  put a stop to the watery madness by initially hunting down pirates who can help and the chaos..
Yes, you guessed it, Risen 2 features a pirate based theme and takes on many of the game mechanics from the original RPG. There was certainly work to be done based on Spanner’s review of Risen back in 2009 so let’s hope Piranha Bytes have addressed some of the issues from what was potentially a very decent RPG.
A new official website is up and running today and the game will be coming the the PC, PS3 and 360. Now for the art:
