Shadowrun Returns kickstarter fully funded in 28 hours

People, it seems, love Shadowrun. Within 28 hours of Jordan Weisman (one of the original pen-and-paper Shadowrun creators) putting up a kickstarter project asking for $400,000 USD to make Shadowrun Returns, the money had been secured.
As with other kickstarters, the project will remain open for the next 23 days and all additional funding will go towards improving the game. A recent update, for example, stated that at $425,000 USD (now surpassed), Mac support would be added.
When it eventually comes out (sometime next year), you can expect Shadowrun Returns to be a “graphically rich 2D turn-based single player game with deep story interaction, meaningful character development, and highly-contextual tactical combat”. It’ll be released on PC, Mac and Android/Apple tablets.
For those unfamiliar with the Shadowrun universe, it’s a mash-up of high fantasy races and Philip K Dick style ‘cyberpunk’.
