The opening cinematic from 4x strategy title Sword of the Stars II has been released, demonstrating that if you overthrow an ancient race that are excellent at holding grudges, make sure you kill them all.
At the edges of the universe, the aptly named Suul’ka have been sulking away and plotting their revenge against those who defied them. Now, they’re ready to return and wreak a terrible vengeance on … well, pretty much everything it seems.
Despite being a cinematic, the video features a fair bit of staged in-game combat, giving you a look at what that’ll be like in the final title.
Sword of the Stars II: The Lords of Winter will be released on PC later this autumn.
