Weaknesses Removed From Champions Online

Our interview with Bill Roper has revealed that the weakness system has been removed from Champions Online. When we questioned him about the possibility of setting weaknesses on your Nemesis, Roper responded “In the paper and pencil version there are definitely weaknesses, but itdoesn’t actually exist in the online version. It may have used to.”We asked for clarification on this point, and whether or not the lack of weaknesses was only for the Nemesis, and were told “You cannot choose weaknesses anywhere in the game, including Nemesis.”The weaknesses system was apparently going to let you set a weakness to a particular type of attack on your hero, in return for a boost to the power of some of your own attacks. You can check out the full interview here, which contains plenty more information on Champions Online.
