Top 6 gun mods in Baldur’s Gate 3

I found three mod creators who have made gun mods in BG3. Palmaman33 has created four different gun mods, Anxiety the Ork has created a gunblade mod, and, my personal favorite, KiderionLykon has created a full Artificer class that features three guns.

M1911

The M1911 is a standard pistol that anyone proficient in crossbows can use. The legendary version deals 1d20+8 piercing damage and 1d4 Force damage. It has Improved Critical, Prey Decelerator, and Exploit Weakness buffs.

Glock 19

The Glock 19 mod from Palmaman33 deals 1d6+5 piercing damage. It comes with a regular, uncommon, rare, very rare, and legendary rarity with each one getting more damage and eventually Force damage. It also gets Improved Critical, Prey Decelerator, and Exploit Weakness as it gets more rare. You can even equip two to dual wield.

Colt Python Revolver

The Colt Python Revolver mod is a bit stronger than the other two guns. The legendary version does 1d20+4 piercing damage and 3d10 Froce damage. It has Feller of Monsters, Exploit Weakness, and Haroldish Doom which makes it very powerful.

AKM

The AKM is the last but best gun mod from Palmaman33. The legendary version deals 3d20+6 piercing damage and 3d20 Force damage. The gun also has Hellstalker buff which allows you to possibly inflict burning after hitting a target when hiding or invisible. While the others are classified as hand crossbows, the AKM is classified as a heavy crossbow.

Gunblade

While it’s not nearly as powerful as the guns listed above, the gunblade mod by Anxiety the Ork is easily the coolest looking. The legendary version, called Chrysus, does 1d12 slashing damage and has unique mechanics called Genblade Reload and Six Shot Slash.

Artificer guns: Flintlock Musket, Flintlock Pistol, and Eldritch Cannon

  • Baldur's Gate 3 Eldritch Cannon
  • Baldur's Gate 3 Flintlick Musket
  • Baldur's Gate 3 Flintlock Pistol

My all-time favorite gun mod pack for Baldur’s Gate 3 is in the Artificer class created by KiderionLykon. This is one of the coolest mods created for the game because it creates a fully functioning new class to play with in BG3, and it includes several guns.

The Eldritch Cannon acts as a handheld Eldritch Blast spell; it deals 1d10+4 damage and has Protector, Force Ballista, and Flamethrower. The Flightlock Musket deals 1d12+3 piercing damage and the Flightlock Pistol deals 1d10+2 piercing damage. In general, the guns included with the Artificer class are more balanced, but that’s what you want when trying to assimilate a new class into the game.

How to install gun mods in Baldur’s Gate 3

I linked every mod in each section, so click on those to get directed to the exact mod page. Rules for how to install and use the mods are always different but listed in the mod descriptions. Most often, items are placed in the “tutorial chest” which is the chest on the Nautiloid at the start of the game. However, there is a mod that allows you to summon the “tutorial chest” wherever you are.

Currently, the only way to get mods in Baldur’s Gate 3 is on the PC. Though other places exist, the best and safest place to get mods for any game on PC is Nexus Mods; every mod included in the list above is from Nexus Mods.
