Best missions for killing Devastators in Helldivers 2

Take out these dangerous robots to earn some Warbond Medals.

The latest Daily Order mission in Helldivers 2 requires you to kill 15 Devastators, powerful robots that can be found among the Automaton forces. They don’t appear too often, however, and new Helldivers may not know which missions contain Devastators in the first place.

While you can easily complete this mission just by playing missions in Automaton-controlled regions of space, there are a few missions that are better suited for this quest than others due to increased enemy spawn rates and other factors that affect how often you’ll see Devastators among the enemies’ ranks. If you want to earn some Warbond Medals fast, this is how you’ll do it.

The best missions for finding Destroyers are Defend missions where you have to hold a point against increasingly powerful hordes of enemies. You can find them in the red zones of the galactic map. Eradicate Automaton Forces is the best option for finding Destroyers, and you can also find a bunch of them in the Retrieve Essential Personnel mission if you have a coordinated squad that can handle a higher-difficulty objective.

How to kill Devastators in Helldivers 2

Devastators are heavily armored Automaton enemies that slowly walk around the battlefield and pelt you with slow-firing projectiles from afar. Their armor plating makes them resistant to gunshots, so you need to shoot them in their weak spots in order to do any real damage. They’re super easy to pick out among the crowd of standard Automatons and the aggressive melee-focused robots, so you shouldn’t have a hard time identifying your targets during missions.

Since Devastators are some of the strongest forces in the Automaton army, they’ll appear much more frequently on higher difficulty levels. You’ll still find a few on easier difficulty settings like Trivial, but you should be able to complete this Daily Order in just one run if you choose one of the harder modes that Helldivers 2 has to offer. It’s also a good idea to bring a squad of friends along for these missions since the robots are much harder to take down than the bugs from the other side of the galaxy.
