One of the more beloved features of the Ark series is the developer’s stance on mods. Studio Wildcard is vocal about supporting the modding community. It appreciates the community’s effort to make the game more enjoyable. We’ve seen this come to fruition, with the addition of the in-game Curse Forge mod browser and menu for players.

The cool thing about Ark Survival Ascended is all the mods that work on PC work on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That means that you can find and use every mod on this list on a PC or console.

This pro-modding stance has led to a series of excellent quality-of-life changes that make life in Ascended just a little bit easier. In my opinion, mods make games more fun and that is the case for Ark Survival Ascended.

One of the most expansive mods so far in Ark Survival Ascended is the Svartalfheim mod. This mod is inspired by the Dwarven culture of Norse mythology that has already garnered tons of attention within the Ark community. In it, you get an entirely new map,

Ark Survival Ascended – Best PS5 Mods

One of the best mods available in Ark Survival Ascended right now is Automated Ark. There’s a reason this mod is the most popular mod to date; with it, you get tons of new gadgets that make some of ASA’s repetitive tasks much easier. Some examples are the Turret Genie which automatically refills turrets, the Egg Crate which automatically collects all nearby eggs, and the Repair Station which automatically pulls nearby resources to fix anything that’s broken.

Utilities Plus is also a great mod in ASA because it allows you to reuse consumable items like Flare Guns and Bolas. Another popular yet simple one is Super Spyglass/Super Binoculars which works just like Tek Binoculars in Ark Survival Evolved.

Upgrade Station is an amazing mode that allows you to take your weapons, armor, tools, and saddles and upgrade them which is an excellent example of a mod that should actually be in the full game. While quality of life and utility mods are great, there are also fun ones like Gryphons which puts ridable Gryphons into the game.

In general, whenever I’m looking for great mods in Ark Survival Ascended, I use the sort by filter to see which mods have the most installs. These are the most useful and popular mods which makes them the best mods around. You can also scroll through the pages to find other great mods as there might be something you love later down the line.

Here are some mods that we would like to see be brought over to Ascended.

  • Improved Dinos
    • Adds new rare dinosaurs around the map that have improved blueprints
  • Rideable Dodos
    • A cute way to ride Dodos around the island
  • Structures Plus
    • Add other items within the crafting menu that can spruce up your house a little bit. Alongside the quality of life improvements for other items
  • Death Recovery
    • A savior when it comes to dying in Ark, as it’ll allow players to snag all their items via a tombstone
  • Creature Finder Deluxe
    • Essentially this is a mod that lets players search where certain dinosaurs are within the map, so you can easily hunt them down
  • RP Visual Storage
    • A cosmetic mod that improves the overall look of your storage and inventory

While we do not know if all of these mods are going to make their way over to Ark Survival Ascended, we’re hoping for it! For now, enjoy the mods we have.
