What is the best bullet type in Wizard with a Gun?

Before we get to the tier ranking of all the starter ammo types in Wizard with a Gun, I’ll make this quick. The best ammo type in Wizard with a Gun is the shocking bullet.

While I personally love the poison and cold bullet types and those two are great, shocking bullet is insanely good to eliminate groups of enemies very quickly. High damage and high AoE capabilities are what make shocking bullet the best.

Once you get the Lightning Research Station, you can unlock the lightning strike bullet fairly easily, which is a broken bullet that can one-shot any enemy and deal the highest amounts of damage to bosses.

Though there are nine bullet types when starting Wizard with a Gun, some are really great and some are pretty useless. Here is the ultimate tier list ranking all bullet types in Wizard with a Gun.

S-tier ammo in Wizard with a Gun

  • Shocking bullet

Shocking bullet is the undisputed king of ammo types in Wizard with a Gun. Not only does it deal high AoE damage starting out, but it can be upgraded to become even better. Also, the other shocking type bullets unlocked via the Lightning Research Station give you the best bullets in the game.

A-tier ammo in Wizard with a Gun

  • Cold bullet
  • Poison bullet
  • Burning bullet

Cold bullet is the second-best bullet type in Wizard with a Gun. While slowing enemies isn’t that useful and it takes too long to give them the slow effect, cold bullets deal some of the highest single-target damage out of any bullet.

In my opinion, poison bullet is equal to cold bullet in ranking. While poison bullet may not seem strong at first, it’s really great to use against minibosses and bosses. Hit enemies with 10 stacks of poison and they’ll slowly but surely take high damage over time as long as the stacks of poison are kept high.

Burning bullet is slightly below cold and poison bullet, but it is very effective. If you want to cause mayhem and burn a lot of enemies in one area, burning bullets are perfect.

B-tier ammo in Wizard with a Gun

  • Destruction bullet
  • Charming bullet
  • Fear bullet

At the top of the B-tier is destruction bullets. These are the basic bullets you start out with and they deserve to be at the top of the B-tier because they are the cheapest bullet type, and thus essential to use when collecting resources out in the world. They come in handy to eliminate basically anything and everything.

Charming bullet is in B-tier because it really doesn’t do much damage at all, but it is useful to turn an enemy into a buddy that fights alongside you. It takes a little too long to fully charm an enemy, but once you do, they are on your team until they die, which can be very helpful.

Fear bullet isn’t bad, either. It basically does the opposite of what the charming bullet type does. If you’re surrounded by too many enemies, fear bullet can come in handy.

C-tier ammo in Wizard with a Gun

  • Force bullet
  • Order bullet

The worst starter ammo types in Wizard with a Gun are force bullet and order bullet. Force bullet only pushes enemies around, which isn’t that great. In every instance, any ammo type in the higher tiers is better. Order bullet is not great because all it does is repair stuff. It can deal high damage to Chaos, but so can everything else.
