Spiderman 2’s version of the Statue of Liberty is just there for show. But some players might want to visit for the same reason a real-life tourist would: you just have to when in NYC. In this guide, we will tell you if you can reach the Statue of Liberty on Spiderman 2 or not.
Is it possible to reach the Statue of Liberty in Spiderman 2
Unfortunately, no Spiderman game ever lets players directly visit the historic Statue of Liberty or even Liberty Island. However, in the previous versions, players eventually found some glitch or way to find the Statue of Liberty to get some good views from the top of the structure. But this is not the case in Marvel’s Spiderman 2.
In Spiderman 2, you can locate the Statue of Liberty at a very short distance from you. The statue is located on Liberty Island, which is located in the middle of the water. Neither of the Spider-Men can swim thus, making it impossible for the players to reach Liberty Island. Previously, players somehow found a way to reach the location, but Spiderman 2 permanently stopped the players from getting out of the play zone and reaching the Statue of Liberty.
In the early stages of the game, you can locate the Statue of Liberty beside you on the Atlantic Ocean. The visuals of the statue and the island got a huge upgrade, just like every other aspect of this game. However, at this stage of the game, you will most likely be unable to perform any kind of abilities. But, even if you try to reach Lady Liberty later on, a screen will pop up saying, “You are leaving the playable area.” and it will automatically return you to the other side.
This means that it is not currently possible for anyone to visit the Statue of Liberty in Spiderman 2. And if the playable area restriction works perfectly, there is no way players can find any glitch or exploitation to reach the island in the latest version. However, only time will tell if anyone can come up with a new creative idea to reach the historic Statue of Liberty in Spiderman 2.
