The first Chapter of Dead by Daylight Year Nine, Dead by Daylight version 8.0.0 is one of the largest updates the game has seen to date. In addition to Aestri Yazar and Baermar Uraz, Vecna joins the game as an all-new Killer with some rather interesting abilities. There’s also a new map called the Forgotten Ruins, a winding stone dungeon that the terrifying lich calls home.

Dead by Daylight Aestri Yazar and Baermar Uraz Release Date

Aestri Yazar and Baermar Uraz will be released when the Dungeons and Dragons Chapter comes out for Dead by Daylight on Monday, June 3, 2024. Both Survivors will have the same abilities regardless of who you choose, so the difference between them is purely visual.

If you’re on PC, then you can test out the new bard Survivors on the Dead by Daylight PTB right now. Console players will have to wait for the official release of the Dungeons and Dragons Chapter to get their hands on the new content, unfortunately.

Dead by Daylight Aestri Yazar and Baermar Uraz Abilities

Dead by Daylight’s bard Survivors can empower their fellow Survivors and create illusions to throw killers off track. Here are their main abilities.

  • Mirrored Illusion This perk activates after completing a total of 50% worth of repair progress on generators. Press the ability button 2 when next to a totem, chest, generator, or exit gate to spawn a static illusion that lasts for 100/110/120 seconds. Then, the perk deactivates.
  • Bardic Inspiration Press the ability button 1 while standing and motionless to enter the “performance” interaction that lasts up to 15 seconds and empowers Survivors within 16 meters. Roll a d20. This effect lasts for 60 seconds if the performance is completed. When the ability is canceled or the performance completes, it goes on cooldown for 90/75/60 seconds. 1 | You scream, but nothing happens 2-10 | skill checks give +1% progress 11-19 | skill checks give +2% progress 20 | skill checks give +3% progress
  • Still Sight After standing still for 6/5/4 seconds, this perk activates. Until you start moving, you see the aura of the Killer as well as all generators and chests within 18 meters.

Aestri Yazar and Baermar Uraz have quite an interesting kit compared to other Dead by Daylight Survivors, and the ability to choose between a human male or an elven female is a nice touch for fans of D&D. The new Killer, Vecna, also has a ton of Dungeons and Dragons flavor in his kit as well.
