A rush of blood to the head.

There are many ways to play the Necromancer class in Diablo 4, but drawing blood from your enemies is especially brutal. Here is how to get the Cruor’s Embrace Necromancer Unique in Diablo 4 and its best build.

Similarly to other Uniques, you can find the Cruor’s Embrace gloves as a drop after defeating enemies and opening chests all across Sanctuary. This will work in either World Tier 3 or 4 since this is a new Unique, so get to level 50 and complete the Cathedral of Light Capstone dungeon. While drop chances have improved in Season 4: Loot Reborn, you are better off completing endgame content like Legions, World Bosses, and Nightmare Dungeons.

However, if high risk and high reward are your way of life, then your chances will increase if you decide to face and beat Lord Zir, the Dark Master. He is an endgame boss that you can only encounter in World Tier 4, and you will have to summon him at The Ancient’s Seal Seat in the Fractured Peaks region by using the following materials:

World Tier 4Torment Lord Zir
9x Exquisite Blood: Found as a drop after defeating World Bosses, completing Legion Events, or defeating Blood Maidens in Helltide.27x Exquisite Blood.

2x Stygian Stone: Found inside chests after completing The Pit of Artificers runs.

Cruor’s Embrace+[42.0 – 63.0]% Overpower Damage
+[14.0 – 28.0]% Core Damage
Lucky Hit: Up to a 5% Chance to Heal +[588 – 1,058] Life
+[2 – 3] to Blood Surge
Blood Surge consumes Corpses to cause mini novas, dealing [40 – 56] damage. Damage is increased by 10%[x] per target drained by the initial cast, up to 50%[x]. Damage is also increased by 20%[x] for each Corpse consumed.

There are two builds you should consider if you want to implement the Cruor’s Embrace Unique for the Necromancer. One is the Blood Surge Necromancer and the other is the Blood Surge Minion Necromancer. While sacrificing your Minions is a great way to make your Necromancer strong, the recent buffs to Minions make them a great way to deal a lot of damage while keeping your character safe at a distance.

So, pick up the Paranormal Blood Surge skill, the Corpse Tendrils skill, the Decrepify Ultimate skill, the Rathma’s Vigor Key Passive, and the Ring of Sacrilegious Soul. Use Decrepify to slow down enemies and let your Minions do damage. Once they create corpses, your Ring of Sacrilegious Soul will automatically activate the Corpse Tendrils skill, which will pull enemies together. Continuously use Blood Surge – which will also create mini novas thanks to the Cruor’s Embrace – to deal damage, with the Rathma’s Vigor overpowering your Blood Surge.

While not the best Necromancer build in the meta, I still believe it is a good build you can experiment with. Just be sure to make as many corpses as you can with your Skeletal Reapers, Bone Golems, or even your Bone Mages. Put your build to the test to gain Iron Wolves reputation in Helltides and defeat those Blood Maidens that are waiting for you!
