Some survival games will have trees regrow automatically, and some will force you to regrow them yourself. So where does Nightingale fall along this spectrum?

Nightingale: Can trees regrow?

Unfortunately, trees will not regrow normally in Nightingale, but there are two other ways you can get trees to regrow. Whenever you cut down a tree and its stump, it’s pretty much gone for good. This is why traveling to new Realms after crafting Realm Cards can be good for obtaining new resources.

You can even add Minor Cards in that Realm to help with gathering resources. But what methods can you use to regrow trees? There are currently only two, but this could change during the Early Access period.

Regrowth enchantment

Once you find an Essence Trader, you can purchase a Regrowth enchantment from them. This will help replenish plant and tree growth. Once you obtain this spell, you’ll have an easy way to regrow all sorts of flora!

You’ll first need to enchant a tool with this spell to make it work. As you can guess, enchanting an axe will help you regrow trees, and enchanting a sickle will regrow fiber and other flora.

Carnute

If you’re exploring the world and come across a humongous Carnute, a blue ghost-like magical creature, it’ll stimulate plant and tree regrowth wherever it walks.

Sure, it may break a few things along the way, but if it walks over a place where you previously cut down trees, it’ll trigger them to regrow. You can’t miss it, it’s quite large and rare to find.

Now that you know how regrowing trees works in Nightingale, you should also learn about how moving structures and buildings work.
