Xueyi is a new 4-star Honkai: Star Rail character from Version 1.6, so of course we’ve got to figure out her best build. As a Quantum Element and Path of Destruction character, she’s a pretty decent DPS party member.
Knowing the right Relics, Light Cones, Eidolons and Abilities for Xueyi can be tough. To help you out, here’s how to properly build her.
Best build for Xueyi in Honkai Star Rail
Best Light Cones for Xueyi
As a DPS character, you want to choose a Light Cone that can amplify her DMG. That’s why I highly recommend “On the Fall of an Aeon” as a 5-star Light Cone. This will make it so that whenever Xueyi attacks, her ATK increases, stacking up to four times. But whenever she inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, her DMG increases for two turns.
If you don’t yet have that Light Cone, I’d go for “Nowhere to Run” (increases ATK, and when you defeat an enemy you restore HP), or “Under the Blue Sky” (increases ATK, and when you defeat an enemy, CRIT Rate increases for three turns). These are both great 4-Star Light Cones you can use until you find the best 5-Star one.
Best Relics for Xueyi
There are a few great options for Xueyi’s Relic sets. You need Relics that can augment her DMG and ATK abilities. Here are the best ones you should go for:
- Thief of Shooting Meteor (4-piece) – Increases Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates three Energy.
- Genius of Brilliant Stars (4-piece) – Increases Quantum DMG by 10%. When wearer deals DMG to target enemy, ignores 10% DEF. If target enemy has Quantum Weakness, wearer additionally ignores 10% DEF.
Although Thief of Shooting Meteor aids Xueyi’s Break Effect, I think Genius of Brilliant Stars is much better for her. It can increase her Quantum DMG while ignoring an enemy’s DEF. If you’re looking for decent Ornaments to pair with the Relics, you should just go for this one:
- Talia: Kingdom of Banditry (2-piece set) – Increases wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When wearer’s SPD reaches 145 or higher, wearer’s Break Effect increases by an extra 20%.
If you have the Genius of Brilliant Stars Relic set with the Talia: Kingdom of Banditry Ornaments, you’re getting both increased Quantum DMG as well as an improved Break Effect. Then you don’t even need to consider Thief of Shooting Meteor.

Best Abilities for Xueyi
When choosing which Abilities to prioritize upgrading for Xueyi, go for her Ultimate first and foremost. At its base level, it’ll deal Quantum DMG equal to 150% of Xueyi’s ATK to one target, completely ignoring Weaknesses and reducing their Toughness. Right under that you need to prioritize her Talent, which will help her launch damaging follow-up attacks on enemies.
Xueyi’s Skill is also pretty important, as it deals Quantum DMG equal to 70% of her ATK to a single enemy, as well as 35% of her ATK to adjacent enemies. Her Basic ATK should be your lowest priority, as her other abilities are a lot more damaging.
Best Eidolons for Xueyi
Xueyi has a great arsenal of Eidolons available. The first one is great to get since it’ll increase her DMG dealt through her Talent’s follow-up attack by 40%. The second one upgrades her Talent even further, reducing the enemy’s Toughness regardless of their Weaknesses, alongside restoring some of her HP.
It may not be easy to achieve, but if you end up getting Xueyi enough times for her fourth Eidolon, her Break Effect increases by 40% for two turns after using her Ultimate. Other than that, those are probably the best Eidolons to unlock for Xueyi.
