Best build for Serval in Honkai Star Rail: Relics, Light Cones, Eidolons and Abilities

If you read our guide on the best characters to reroll for in Honkai Star Rail, you know Serval didn’t quite make the cut. However, you shouldn’t despair if you wind up with her in your party. Her area attacks are no joke!

To improve Serval most thoroughly, go with gear that enhances her ATK. Her elemental abilities rely on that stat to generate their shocking charge. With a high ATK rating, everything else falls naturally into place.

For her Relic, you want to mix the Band of Sizzling Thunder set and the Celestial Differentiator set. Wearing two pieces of Band of Sizzling Thunder gear adds 10% to any Lightning damage inflicted. Pairing that with Celestial Differentiator adds an 8% increase to the wearer’s Crit Rate, plus a 20% enhancement to Basic ATK and Skill DMG when the Crit Rate reaches 80% or higher.

Ideally, you want to equip the Make the World Clamor Light Cone. It increases Energy as the character enters battle. Also, it boosts Ultimate damage by 24%. A secondary option is Today is Another Peaceful Day, which increases damage based on maximum Energy.

Serval has a powerful lightning ultimate, Here Comes the Mechanical Fever. It hits all enemies at once for 108% of her ATK. It also extends shock duration by two turns if an enemy has already been hit with that status ailment. In general, her abilities allow her to hit enemies hard and to shock them. In an extended battle, she’ll make sure things grow increasingly worse for adversaries, turn by turn.

Not surprisingly, Serval’s Eidolons focus on adding additional damage to her lightning-based abilities. Powerful and Resounding hits a second random enemy, in adjacent to the initial target. At her highest level, This Song Echoes Through the Sky increases attack and skill damage while her Energy is at 50% or better.
