How to activate Upland Zorana Skyview Tower in Tears of the Kingdom

Try to get away clean.

Any time you can activate a Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you want to make that happen. Activated towers reveal more of the map, plus they’re a great jumping off point for subsequent exploration. Sometimes, powering up their terminals requires that you think outside the box. Here is our guide on how to activate Upland Zorana Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – how to Activate Upland Zorana Skyview Tower

You can find the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower in the mountains northeast of the Lanayru Wetlands. It is surrounded by oil-like gunk that slows your movement to a crawl and prevents you from entering the tower itself.

To enter the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower and activate its terminal, clean away the goop. You can do this by throwing Splash Fruit, or by fusing it with an arrow and then firing that arrow directly at the offending sludge. A lot of sludge will still remain. You’re only worried by the stuff directly in front of the door. If you haven’t thrown a lot of items from your inventory, remember: the process is to press and hold the R button, then press Up on your d-pad to access a list of items. Then just scroll through it to select the one you want to throw.

When you toss Splash Fruit or use some to fire a water-infused arrow, note that you’ll clean up a fairly broad area. Even a single bit of fruit should be enough to help you get rid of the mess in front of the door. If you don’t have any of the fruit handy, you can explore bushes around the area. They yield a generous supply of the fruit (as pictured above).

In this same vicinity, take a moment to free a nearby Zora named Bazz. He is conspicuously trapped right near the base of the tower’s front steps. Toss some fruit at the sludge and he will reward you with a Zora Spear for freeing him as part of the Mired in Muck side quest.
