How to beat Barbaric Beast Wheel in Persona 3 Reload

Not so tough after all

The Barbaric Beast Wheel is a boss you’ll encounter early on in Tartarus. It’s not too strong but since this is the start of the game it might still surprise you. Here’s how to defeat the Barbaric Beast Wheel in Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload: Easiest way to beat the Barbaric Beast Wheel

You’ll run into the Barbaric Beast Wheel on the 11th floor of Tartarus in Persona 3 Reload. In this fight, the Barbaric Beast Wheel will be joined by two Magic Hands as support. At first, this might seem like quite an annoying team since the Magic Hands deal in magic while the Wheel is a Physical attacker. But your party setup with Yukari and Junpei is already well suited to taking everyone here down with ease.

The Magic Hands are both weak to fire, so have Junpei use Agi on both of them as soon as you can. Then, when that’s done, use Shift to switch to Yukari and have her use Garu on the Barbaric Beast Wheel. This should knock all enemies down and prime them for an All-out Attack. You’ll probably have to rinse and repeat this a few times to finish off the Barbaric Beast Wheel after the Mage Hands have been dealt with.

Things to watch out for

Even the easiest fights in Persona 3 Reload can catch you off guard if you aren’t careful. And this fight is no exception either, especially on harder difficulties. You’ll need to first make sure that the Protagonist isn’t using a Persona that’s weak to Strike or Ice damage. As the Barbaric Beast Wheel and Mage Hands will sling out these attacks respectively.

Luckily you don’t need to have any specific Personas for this fight either. Junpei and Yukari can more than handle the offensive part of the battle. So the protagonist’s role should focus more on keeping everyone healed up. Use items or Dia if you’ve got a Persona with that spell to heal party members.

The tough fights don’t stop there though as Tartarus is full of tricky foes to beat. But you can always stay one step ahead of the game by seeing what’s coming up. The Corrupt Tower fight is one that I’d particularly recommend checking up on.
