How to change difficulty in Ripout

Making things easier and harder is a little complicated.

Ripout is a challenging game, especially for solo players. The game features scaling difficulty, which means that the enemies will become more difficult as the number of players in your squad increases.

If you don’t think that the difficulty is proper for you and want to change it, there is a way to. Below we’ll go over how to change the difficulty in Ripout to better match what you need.

Where are the difficulty options in Ripout?

There’s no conventional way to change difficulty in Ripout, but there are two methods. The first one is by starting a new game, which is where you are first asked what difficulty you’d like. You can do this by deleting your character or picking a new save slot.

If you’d like to change your difficulty mid-game, you’ll have to change different options instead of getting set difficulties. To do this, go to Settings and then pick Gameplay. There are a few options that will change things for you. You’re going to see Player Protection, Bullet Hit Power Factor, and Enemy Dispersion sliders. You can adjust those to make gameplay more difficult or easy.

Player Protection sets how easy you are to kill. Bullet Hit Power Factor sets how effective your own weapons are against the enemy. Enemy Dispersion sets how many enemies can attack you at any one time. Finally, the progression settings will affect the economy difficulty, which isn’t much around gameplay and I wouldn’t touch that.

When it comes to economy for games, that can easily make or break a game. Getting items too easily is almost no fun, and a long grind doesn’t always make you feel like you earned an item. In my experience, that should never be touched because developers tend to take a while to build their economy systems. If you would like to alter the difficulty of your game, stick to the three options I mentioned.
