How to check Monopoly GO server Status

Monopoly GO is yet another iteration of the classic family-time board game that induces rage the likes of I’ve scarcely seen. Unlike the board game of it’s past, Monopoly GO is hosted on your phone or tablet and can be played remotely with other players. The only problem with this is that it requires an online connection. If you are having difficulties accessing the game, and are having server issues, then you will need to know what’s going on to fix it.

Is Monopoly GO down now?

Monopoly GO is down for some, but not for all. If you’re having difficulty getting on Monopoly GO, then don’t worry, as there are currently many more out there who are dealing with the same thing!

In this case, all you can do is wait it out and check back every hour or so. This is a problem on the game’s side, not yours. Although it won’t hurt to check your internet connection and maybe reset your router just in case.

How to check the status of Monopoly GO

If you are struggling to connect to Monopoly GO, then there is either an issue on your end or an issue on the game’s end. Both problems revolve around connectivity and the servers that host the game. Firstly, you’ll want to make sure that the Monopoly GO servers aren’t down. There is a handy website that determines if the game is down from reported problems from other users. Alternatively, you can check the game’s Twitter page, as they may report the problem there. The Reddit page is also a great place to see other players’ problems first-hand. Check the ‘new’ tab to see if any others are having problems, or make a post yourself complaining about not being able to log in.

If the game isn’t down and is working properly for other players, then it may be an issue your end. If this is the case, then you’ll have to check your internet connection. Make sure that you are connected to the internet first. If so, check the strength of your connection. It may be worth checking your router, to make sure it isn’t faulty. It may be worth to reset your router (turning it off and on again) to try and jog the connection.

If the game isn’t down and you’ve checked your connection and you still can’t join, then the only solution left is to delete and reinstall the game. If you are having problems beyond that point, then there are bigger issues, and you may need to really check out your router to see what’s going on with your internet. At that point, it may be worth checking the server status again, just to make sure.
