How to enable cross progression in Warzone and COD Warzone Mobile

Take your progress with you.

The good thing about COD Warzone Mobile is that you might not have to grind for everything. Through cross-progression, you can get a headstart. This system allows you to bring everything you’ve earned in the mainline including the normal version of Warzone.

Since your cross-progression is important in COD Warzone Mobile, read on to enable it between the full version of Warzone.

COD Warzone Mobile: How to enable cross-progression with Warzone

You must link your account to the mobile game to bring everything over to COD Warzone Mobile. This took me a while to understand because I wanted my Dune skin to be available. While Activision has made linking your account between Warzone and the mobile version easy, it’s not explained well. Fortunately for you, I went through the hardship of this puzzling step so you don’t have to.

  • First log into your Activision Account. In the left-hand bar, press Account Linking. This should be selected by default.
  • In this menu, link whatever platform you’re playing MW2, MW3, or Warzone on. You’re going to be sent a code to your email.
  • Once that’s done, you may have to sign into the platform you’re playing the game on. For me it’s Steam. So make sure you verify all that information before moving on.
  • After you’ve signed into your platform’s profile, your account will be linked.
  • Head into COD Warzone Mobile and sign in to your Activision Account
  • If done right, all your weapons, skins, weapons, and rank should appear in COD Warzone Mobile.

Now that your account is linked, your progress from MW2, MW3, and Warzone should appear in their respective menus. For example, your guns will be in the Gunsmith.

Why is linking your accounts important?

As stated, you can continue your progress over and still rank up. Going back and forth in a consistent manner can help keep players in the long run. I care about skins a lot in the Call of Duty games, and while there are many ways to earn them like the Soap operator skin, having what I’ve got makes playing the new playstyle of COD Warzone Mobile easier.

Additionally, like the skins, weapons can earned via the Arsenal Store if you don’t link your account. But, even if you opt that way, like me, you’ll miss the familiarity you’ve developed by creating loadouts that work for you. By enabling cross-progression, you bring everything over without your rank being hit. This is something that sold me to play the mobile shooter.

COD Warzone Mobile may be a beefy game that might require a device that can do the heavy lifting. If you don’t have a phone like that, there are other ways to play the shooter without breaking the bank.
