You may have noticed that every weapon you acquire only has one Rune equipped. This may have you asking how to equip more Runes to weapons in No Rest for the Wicked. This guide has the answer.

No Rest for the Wicked: How to add more Runes to your weapons

Equipping Runes is very important as it can make your character much stronger. Players can add Runes to their weapons in No Rest for the Wicked once they reach Sacrament, the main hub of the game. Sacrament becomes available after defeating the first boss and will be the go-to location for purchasing items, upgrading weapons, and adding Runes to your weapons.

Once you reach Sacrament, you will want to speak to Eleanor in the marketplace. Her exact location is shown below.

You’ll know you’re in the right area if you see the Blacksmith smashing down on his anvil. If you are still having trouble locating Eleanor, this is what she looks like:

Speak to Eleanor and select the buy option from her shop. Here you can select Runes you want to purchase with in-game currency. I recommend picking the Pulse of Health, which heals your character in times of crisis.

After purchasing your preferred Rune, head over to the “Rune” section of the shop menu. Select the corresponding button you want your Rune to be equipped to, and voila, you have successfully equipped a new Rune to your weapon in No Rest for the Wicked.

Eleanor also offers the service of extracting Runes. If you extract a Rune from one weapon, you can move it over to another. Beware, extracting a Rune will completely destroy the weapon.

Keep in mind that there will be times when you find a weapon with already two Runes equipped. This is rare, but it does happen. In other words, you don’t always have to visit Eleanore if you want more than one Rune equipped to your weapon.

At the time of writing, it is undetermined if other merchants in the game world offer Runes for your weapons, but it is very likely. Regardless, now you know how to add more Runes to your weapons in No Rest for the Wicked. Speaking of weapons, check out our guide on how to repair weapons and gear.
