How to farm in Harvest Island

You're on a farm, after all.

In Harvest Island, one of the main mechanics of the game is growing and farming crops, for food recipes and for the God offering. If you’re to successfully grow lots of crops and offer them to the Gods every day, then you’ll need to learn how to do it properly. Here’s how to farm in Harvest Island.

Planting your crops in Harvest Island

To farm crops, you first need to plant them with seeds. To get seeds in Harvest Island, you can purchase them from the shop using bless. Go up to the God Statue in the middle of your farm and select ‘Shop’. Buying seeds only costs a little bless, and you can control which crop you farm. Alternatively, you can use Dung and bless to create a mystery seed, which will grow a random vegetable.

Equipped with your seeds, you should head to the right of your house where there will be a small gardening patch. Pressing ‘X’ will allow you to open up your equipment panel. Select the seeds you want to grow and interact with a patch to grow it. You can decide what crops you want to grow.

When placed, you must water your crops daily, and they’ll grow slowly over time. To get water, head to the well to draw up to 30 loads of water. Press ‘X’ again to open the equip panel and interact with the crops to water them. Note that when it is raining, the plants will be watered automatically.

Harvesting your crops in Harvest Island

At some point, after about a week of the plants being consistently watered, the crops will be able to be harvested. Interacting with the crop will gain you about half a dozen of the crop, making it worth the wait. After harvesting, the crop will remain in the patch and will keep producing for you if you keep watering it.

Note that there is no penalty for not watering your crops, but their growth and production will be halted. Using the sickle, you can dig up a crop and plant a new one of your choosing.

If you want even more space to grow crops, you can build the upgrade. It’s a little costly, but after a focused expedition, you’ll net all of the items. The upgrade panel for the gardening patch is right outside it.

I hope this has cleared up any confusion, and that your harvest will be bountiful! For more Harvest Island help, look no further than PC Invasion.
