Finding Red Lynel Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom (totk)

Based on my hours of playtime and confirmed by other TOTK players from PC Invasion, it’s essential to defeat enough of the previous colored Lynel versions if you want them to transform into different colors after each blood moon. Like the process in Zelda: Breath of the Wild (BOTW), failure to do this will limit you to encountering only Red, Blue, or White Lynel in the areas marked below. However, once you have taken down enough of them to start encountering Red Lynel, you can efficiently locate all seven using our location guides and tips.

Defeating Red Lynel Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom (totk)

When facing a Red Lynel, it’s important to remember that while it may not be as tricky as defeating a Silver Lynel, it’s still important to practice the same strategy. This will ensure that you’re ready to face them whenever they appear. Since Silver Lynel is one of the most formidable enemies in TOTK, practice is vital! Start by sneaking up on the Red Lynel and mounting it. Then, keep attacking until you’re thrown off, and switch to a defensive approach to counter their aggressive behavior. I’ve successfully defeated most Red Lynel by using the Hylian Shield. Additionally, utilizing updrafts to avoid their attacks and take them down has been effective. To stun a Red Lynel, aim for the head with an Arrow infused with a Keese Eyeball, which will give you plenty of time to attack. Lastly, be sure to use the Flurry Rush ability when necessary during the process.
