And, it's bugged.

Some of the Star Wars LEGO Fortnite challenges are surprisingly tricky to figure out. If you’re struggling, here’s how to find and emote with Rebel Protocol Droid C-43S or C-6JR in LEGO Fortnite.

Where to find Rebel Protocol Droids in LEGO Fortnite

There’s a weekly challenge for emoting in front of Protocol Droid C-43S or C-6JR. After extensive testing, I am confident this challenge is bugged at the time of writing. Still, this will likely be fixed in a patch, so let me show you how it works.

Before interacting with a Protocol Droid, you must first find the Rebel Outpost. It’s important to note that you’re not looking for the Rebel base in the Cave. The Rebel Outpost is outside and can be found with the Macrobinoculars.

I found the Rebel Outpost by traveling through the Rebel Cave base and looking through the Macrobinoculars on the other side. If you can’t see it there, I recommend frequently checking the Macrobinoculars as you explore the map.

How to get the Protocol Droids to move into the Rebel Outpost

When you arrive, the base is in disarray, so speak to Captain Bravara for a mission update. You’ll be tasked with upgrading the base and will have a few mandatory builds to place.

Once you’ve completed the guided missions, you can interact with the gold Village Upgrade device (pictured above). Once you’ve upgraded the Outpost to level 3, C-43S will move in. At the time of writing, I only have a Level 4 Outpost, so C-6JR will likely arrive later.

How to emote dance emote with C-43S or C-6JR in LEGO Fortnite

This is the part of the challenge that’s bugged for me. The challenge does mention dance emotes specifically, and I’ve tried every one I have, including the following:

  • Boneless
  • Breakin’
  • Dance Moves
  • Moonlit Mystery
  • Jubilation

You can either emote in front of droid or do it in the middle of the outpost, and every NPC will come to you. At least one of these should have triggered the Challenge completion, so it’s safe to say the task isn’t working for now. Still, you know where the Droids are, and as long as they have a bed assigned, they aren’t going anywhere.

Upgrading the Rebel base is fun, but make sure you check out the Star Destroyer crash site. It’s a long way away, but well worth a visit.
