How to find the Flash Drive in Under the Surphaze in Payday 3

You hid it there? Really?!

Under the Surphaze offers heisters a significant challenge, particularly if you prefer the stealth approach. The mission takes place in an art gallery, and with such priceless exhibits, it’s no surprise that security is tight. If you’re up to stealthy shenanigans, you’ll need to acquire the Flash Drive. It’s more hidden than you may expect, so let me show you how to find the Flash Drive in Under the Surphaze in Payday 3.

The hardest part about the Under the Surphaze heist is staying hidden. There are cameras all over the place, and if that wasn’t enough, guards and civilians roam the building. The Flash Drive is in the Manager’s Office on the second floor.

Guards and pedestrians frequently walk the halls near the office, so you’ll have to be careful as you approach. When you’re inside, interact with the Computer as you’ll need information off the screen for later. As for the Flash Drive, it’s in a hidden safe on the wall behind the computer desk.

Interact with this wooden panel (pictured above) to reveal the safe, break-in, and the Flash Drive is yours. I’ve yet to be disturbed in this room while cracking the safe when playing stealth, but guards can come in and ruin your day if you’re going loud.

The Art Gallery is obnoxiously hard to break into unmasked, but it is doable. Guards and cameras protect the glass doors at the front, but if you’re patient, you can get in through there. Once inside, watch for cameras and make your way to the 2nd floor. The Managers office will always be opposite a window around the edges.

If you’re happy to mask up, you can reach the manager’s office easily, although you shoulder the risk of being seen. From the roadside, you can mask up where I have in the picture above and hoist onto the box. From the box, you can jump to the scaffolding and onto the metal staircase. Honestly, you can tell Payday 3 wasn’t designed for parkour, as the jumping feels horrendous. That said, it’s just one jump right at the start of the heist.

You’ll raise suspicion by putting your mask on in public, so wait for the biggest crowds of pedestrians to pass before you try. Don’t be afraid to take risks when you begin a heist as if you reset, you lose nothing.
