Where to find the Stopwatch in Animal Well

Players can obtain the Stopwatch by interacting with the Squirrel in Animal Well. While the Squirrel can be found fairly early in a playthrough, it’s not until after defeating the Manticore boss that players can actually claim the Stopwatch from it. The Manticore is the final boss of the game.

You can find the Squirrel with the Stopwatch in the room with the giant clock after completing the Manticore boss fight. The giant clock room is easily found by progressing through the room to the right of the Manticore boss arena.

The Stopwatch is not in plain sight, but off to the left you will notice some vines hanging down. Go through this room to find the squirrel and the Stopwatch. The image below shows exactly where to go.

How to use the Stopwatch in Animal Well

The Stopwatch is a passive item in Animal Well, meaning you don’t use it in-game. Instead, the Stopwatch will show your current playtime in the pause menu. All you need to do is pause your game and your current play time will show at the bottom of the screen.

While it may not seem like the most useful item in the game, the Stopwatch is great for those wanting to know how long it took them to complete the game. I love knowing how much time I’ve spent with a game, so the Stopwatch is a nice touch.

What to do after beating Animal Well

Now that you have defeated the Manticore and claimed the Stopwatch, it’s time to start playing through the postgame. The good news is that you most likely didn’t find all the hidden items and collectibles in your playthrough, so that’s what you should focus on for the remainder of your save file. You can also focus on getting all the achievements.

Collectibles and hidden content include Eggs, Matches, Candles, Flute Codes, and more. The Stopwatch is a great way to see how long it takes you to collect everything. Good luck!
