A gorgeous cape.

There are plenty of unique and rare gear items in Baldur’s Gate 3, but how do you get the Cloak of the Weave?

This is a very rare cloak you can find once you’re in Act 3, but it’s tricky to get your hands on. Here’s an easy way to get it for yourself.

Where to find Cloak of the Weave location in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)

While you can purchase this cloak from a certain vendor, you won’t be able to see this available in their shop until you follow some other steps. You can get the Cloak of the Weave in Baldur’s Gate 3 by purchasing it from Helsik at The Devil’s Fee. This is only once you’ve figured out she’s a diabolist.

You can easily find this information by heading into Flymm’s Cobblers. It’s a shop that’s southwest of Sorcerous Sundries and southeast of the Lower City Central Wall waypoint. You’ll recognize it by its two stone arches. Once inside, head upstairs, and use Thieves’ Tools to unlock the chest.

You’ll probably want Astarion for this, as it requires a DC 20 Sleight of Hand check. After you’ve unlocked it, read the book inside, which tells you of Helsik’s true identity. Now you can head back to The Devil’s Fee, which is just north of that same waypoint I mentioned.

Tell Helsik about what you discovered, and you can also get some information out of her about her dealings with Gortash. Now whenever you see her wares, you’ll gain access to much rarer items, like the Cloak of the Weave. It cost me 600 gold, but it may differ for you.

What makes this cloak so special is that it gives you a +1 bonus to Spell Save DC and spell attack rolls. It also gives you the Absorb Elements ability, which allows you to take half the damage from the next elemental attack and deal an additional 1d6 of that element’s damage on your next attack. Otherwise, it’s a gorgeous cape, so why not splurge on it?
