How to craft a Metal Smelter in LEGO Fortnite
Before crafting a Metal Smelter, you must upgrade your village and reach Level 9 to unlock the recipe. To craft a Metal Smelter in LEGO Fortnite, you will need x15 Brightcore, x35 Obsidian Slab, and x3 Blast Core. Before you set on your journey to gather these materials, make sure to craft yourself a rare Pickaxe. Make sure to increase your heat resistance as well, as you will need to travel to the Lava Caves in the desert biome.
Brightcores can be found inside the Lava Caves in the Dry Valley of Mesas. Inside these caves, you can find Brightcore on the ground or beside the walls inside the cave. These are orange-looking rocks, which need to be mined by using a rare Pickaxe.
However, to get Obsidian Slabs, you must first mine Obsidians, which can also be found inside the Lava Caves. These are similar in structure to Brightcore and can be found on the ground or hanging to the wall inside the caves. Obsidian also needs to be mined by using a rare Pickaxe. Afterward, put Obsidian inside the Stone Breaker to get the Obsidian Slab.
Blast Cores can also be obtained from inside the Lava Caves in the desert biome. This material can only be obtained by defeating Blaster mobs, who spawn inside the Lava Caves.
After you have collected all the necessary materials, open your recipe book and you can craft a Metal Smelter from there.

A Metal Smelter can be used in LEGO Fortnite to produce Copper Bars from Copper. Copper can be mined from the Lava Caves in the Dry Valley of Mesas.
