How to heal or respawn in Lethal Company

There is no second chance.

Being a survival game, healing and respawning are two important mechanisms every player asks about while playing Lethal Company.

Throughout your journey between different moons in Lethal Company, you will need to survive the attacks of several vicious monsters. And if you fail to protect yourself and lose some health or die from these attacks, can you heal yourself or respawn? In this guide, we will answer everything you need to know about how healing and respawning work in Lethal Company.

Healing in Lethal Company

As Lethal Company is a survival game, you will face a lot of difficulties and obstacles during every step of the game. As you progress through different moons, you will find yourself in a defensive position against several dangerous monsters. These monsters can kill you almost in an instant with their vicious attacks. If you have somehow escaped from the wrath of these beasts, you will most likely be trying to find a way to heal your lost health.

Unfortunately, there is no way to heal your lost health in Lethal Company. While the store contains different kinds of items, there are no such items that can regenerate your health. This makes Lethal Company more intense and challenging than other survival games. If you lose any health in this game, you can never get it back — unless you die and respawn.

How to respawn in Lethal Company

If you die while on the moon, you cannot respawn again and rejoin your crew’s expedition. You can only spectate your crew while they do their job. However, there is a way to come back to the game after your crew goes back into space. Once your ship has taken off, all the players who died during the expedition will respawn in the ship. However, this can only be done if the dead player stays connected to the lobby.

Ships only return to space in two conditions: if all the crew members are dead, or if someone starts the ship manually and sends it to orbit. To make your ship go back to orbit manually, get inside your ship and head over to the control panel. Here, you will get an option to ‘Start Ship’ if you stand in front of the controller. Press E to start the ship, and it will automatically take you into space.

Will Lethal Company add healing or respawn mechanics?

It is still not clear if the developer is planning to add such mechanics to the game. However, in my opinion, no healing item will be introduced as it will make survival too easy. Even if any healing item is made available in the store, it will cost a significant amount of credits, which will give you a hard time reaching the profit quota by the deadline day.

Coming to the respawn mechanic, the answer remains the same. Even if the healing part sounds logical, I personally do not think adding a respawn mechanism to Lethal Company would be a good decision. The absence of both of these features makes the experience challenging and enjoyable for everyone, which is one of the crucial factors behind Lethal Company’s immense success.
