How to place top five 15 times in COD Slay Ride Resurgence

This limited-time mode places a festive twist on an established classic.

The holidays are here in Call of Duty: Warzone and players can get into the holiday spirit in an all-new limited-time mode called Slay Ride Resurgence. This festive take on Resurgence is involved in multiple challenges, too, so you’ll need to win a few rounds to get all the free CODMAS rewards this year.

How to Win Slay Ride Resurgence in Warzone

Slay Ride Resurgence is the standard Resurgence mode with a festive twist. Respawns are still enabled and the map is smaller than usual, but now there are Christmas Tree capture points spread across Urzikstan that reward players with gear from holiday crates. Capturing and decorating these trees will reward you with higher-tier gear, but the entire lobby is competing to do the same.

Those who manage to survive near a Christmas Tree capture point long enough will be rewarded with a key that lets them access a door that teleports them to Santa’s Safehouse where a Zombified Juggernaut Santa resides. Defeating Santa will reward you with his minigun and a bunch of powerful loot. Zombie Santa has also taken over the Urzikstan train, riding around the map with his “reindeer” and guarding some of the game’s best gear.

If you want to complete all of the Santa’s Slayground challenges, then you’ll need to place in the top five 15 times when playing Slay Ride Resurgence. You don’t have to win, but you do have to get pretty close. The same strategies as standard Resurgence apply here, but there are a few additional things to keep in mind.

First off, don’t try to capture a Christmas Tree if you want to survive for long. Unless your squad is coordinated and prepared, you’re likely going to get ambushed by multiple squads. Getting Santa’s minigun just isn’t worth it. Remember, you just need to place in the top five. Stay quiet, stay hidden, and only engage enemies when necessary.

Another tip is to look out for Snowballs scattered throughout Urzikstan. Marked on the map with snowflake icons, Snowball crates grant you access to a surprisingly strong weapon. Think of them as throwing knives. They’ll crack armor and instantly finish off downed foes. To make things even better, you can carry a bunch of them at once and they’re easy to restock.

Placing in the top five 15 times is going to take a lot of work, even for a talented Warzone squad. Thankfully, the CODMAS event will last for a few weeks so you’ll have a chance to complete all of the challenges. Don’t forget to check the store for holiday bundles like Santa Gnaws, too.
