How to send and accept friend requests in Wuthering Waves

Everything is better with friends, which is why you need to know how to send and receive friend requests in Wuthering Waves. However, there are a few things you should be aware of during the process.

How to add and accept friend requests

To bring up the friends menu, simply open the settings menu at the bottom right of the screen or press the escape key. Here, you will see an option for Friends. Select this menu to bring up the add and request friends screen. Take note of your friend code at the bottom left of the screen. You can press the button next to it to copy it to the clipboard.

Here you can open up the Add Friends option on the left of the screen. Here, you simply need to type in your friend’s code and hit enter. This will add your friends and send them a request in Wuthering Waves.

To accept a friend request go to the second option down on the left of the friend request screen. Here you will see all your current pending friend requests in Wuthering Waves. Simply accept the ones you recognise, and they will be added to your friends list.

Adding friends from other regions

It isn’t possible to add friends from other regions on Wuthering Waves. If you are playing on the European servers, you can only add European friends. This means no intercontinental gaming, which is very frustrating. They may add this functionality later in the game, but for now, friends are region-locked.

To play with friends overseas, you will need to start a whole new game from scratch. It isn’t possible to transfer your character from one region to another. Currently, switching from one server to another isn’t possible, meaning you can only send and accept friend requests in Wuthering Waves from your own server. Attempting to add a friend on another server will result in the Please Enter a Valid User ID error code in Wuthering Waves.
