As you work your way through the game, you can access a series of 18 memories. For the most part, you can find them in any order, as part of the Impa and the Geoglyphs main quest. If you need help getting started, check out our guide telling you where to find Impa’s Dragon Tear.

Though most memories are unlocked when you find them within the various geoglyphs spread around Hyrule, Memory 11 is different. To unlock Memory 11, you must advance the plot to a point late in the game. Then it will unlock automatically.

The game gives you no real idea this is the case. Memory 11 just sits on the list, frustratingly out of reach. I completed Memory 15 many hours before I got around to Memory 11. To access Memory 11, you must complete the Regional Phenomena main quest.

Once you clear that main quest, you will talk to Purah at Lookout Landing. She will update the Crisis at Hyrule Castle main quest. There has been a new Zelda sighting. Launch from the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower to reach Hyrule Castle to catch up with the princess. You will have to chase her around the treacherous grounds, battling different enemy groups that test your abilities. Ideally, you will bring along Flamebreaker and Snowquill armor upgraded to three stars. Lightning resistance is also helpful. Bring along the Rubber set, if you have it.

When you finally catch up to your quarry, an event occurs. You wind up battling Phantom Ganon. He is considerably more powerful and numerous than when you battle him elsewhere. Luckily, you can have vows and can summon sages for help. When you finally defeat Phantom Ganon, a long speech follows. Witnessing this speech automatically unlocks Memory 11.
