The best Counter-Strike gameplay can only be experienced in the competitive lobbies of the game. These lobbies match similar skill level players, making the game easier for everyone. Moreover, the reward system of the Premier mode of CS2 certainly adds more incentive to the grind that you need to put in. In this guide, we will show you how to unlock Premier mode in CS2.

Buy Prime Status

Although Counter-Strike 2 is a free-to-play game, the competitive mode of CS2, Premier, is not. You will need to spend some money in order to unlock the competitive mode of CS2. To unlock the Premier mode, go to your Steam store and buy a Prime subscription for $14.99 USD. In addition to the competitive game mode, you will also get weekly rewards with the Prime status in CS2, which will give you exclusive skins. You can then sell these skins in the marketplace to earn back some of the money that you spent on the Prime Status.

Reach Level 10

After buying the Prime status, you must reach Level 10 by playing other game modes. To unlock the competitive mode of CS2, Premier, you must be at least Level 10 in the game. Keep playing deathmatches and casual matches to earn more experience points and to level up fast in the game. However, private servers will not give you any experience points to level up. Additionally, you can also reach Level 10 first and then buy the Prime status to unlock Premier in CS2.

Should you buy Prime Status in CS2?

If you want the best CS2 experience, it is mandatory for you to unlock the Premier mode. Premier mode divides the players according to a refined ranking system, separating players through skill levels. You will only get matches against players of your skill level, so the games will not be very hard or very easy. Moreover, there is a lot lesser amount of hackers in Premier mode, thus ensuring a better environment in this mode.

Prime Status will give you weekly rewards, through which you can earn several skins. One of the coolest features of CS2 is that players can sell these skins to earn some money. If you are lucky enough, you can get a rare skin which can be sold for double the amount you spent behind the Prime Status to unlock Premier in CS2. Most of the players are able to earn back the amount spent behind this mode by trading skins. So, the investment is totally worth it.
