There’s nothing you can really do against the Family to hurt them. That is, unless you find a Bone Scrap. You can retrieve a Bone Scrap by scavenging for one in a pile. Just be careful not to do it too fast. The faster you spam the button to search for one, the louder you’ll be. Take your time if you know you’re alone, and tap the ‘E’ key slowly.

Now that you have a Bone Scrap, you can either use it to hurt a Family member, or disable traps like the hanging bones or the Hitchhiker’s traps. If you manage to get in close contact with a Family member, use the Bone Scrap to stab them and get away. This will stun them for a short period of time, allowing you to run out of harms way.

Luckily, your Bone Scrap can easily disable them. The Family have Abilities unique to each of them, so look out for if someone plays as the Hitchhiker in your game. Now you should consider using Bone Scraps more often!
