Is Palworld cross-platform or crossplay? Answered

Assemble your Pals!

Pokémon has been too cute and cuddly for too long, and Palworld is looking to fix that. Now, the cute world of pocket monsters comes to the survival genre. You can collect the creatures and make them fight, work, and become your slaves.

This open-world RPG looks to be a big hit, but will you be able to play Palworld alongside your friends on other platforms in true cross-platform fashion?

Can you play Palworld Cross-Platform?

Currently, on release, Palworld won’t feature cross-platform capabilities, meaning whatever you’re playing on will restrict who you can play with. However, the studio does plan to add it in the not-too-distant future with the many updates it plans to roll out. Currently, even if you’re playing on Game Pass, you won’t be able to play alongside Xbox players.

Over time, more features will be added to Palworld, including large multiplayer maps and versus modes. On release, there will be some limited multiplayer capabilities. However, they will be restricted to playing Palworld with friends on your platform until cross-platform is added.

Currently, there looks to be the ability to get into the world of Palworld with up to three friends. This can be done online or via a dedicated server. Teaming up with other players online means you can get out there and work as a team. This will make trying to capture the many monsters much easier. You will have to blast, enslave, and massacre your way through the hordes, very unlike its spiritual predecessor, Pokémon.

Will it ever be possible?

The team has stated that although the game won’t have it at launch, it will eventually implement it into the game. This gives you a significant amount of time to collect all your favorites before releasing them into the battlefields of Palworld cross-platform.
