Single-Player Games aren’t saving in Ark Survival Ascended
Since a recent patch, lots of players are saying that their single-player games aren’t saving, and that their progress keeps getting deleted. This has really shaken the Ark Survival Ascended community, who are already sick of the bugs and problems that were even present in Ark Survival Evolved.
Players encountering this issue have been vehemently looking for a fix, as the game is unplayable until it gets solved.
This bug seems to be the last straw for some players who are fed up of Studio Wildcard’s poor performance with Ark Survival Ascended. Such players are only hanging on as Ark Survival Evolved was one of their favorite games, and they don’t want to give up just yet.

Is there a fix for this issue in Ark Survival Ascended?
There currently is no known fix for this issue, and any fixes that get uploaded don’t seem to actually work.
Some players speak of removing certain save files or removing all of the dinosaurs using a console command, due to very convoluted methods and reasons. However, everyone else says that they don’t work. It is not every day that we get a bug for a game that the community can’t work its way around.
The issue with patches and fixes in a game with numerous platforms, is that any console updates need to pass certification, which can take a long time, especially if there are national holidays. We’re looking at potentially upwards of a week for them to pass through. So even if Studio Wildcard has developed a patch for this game-breaking bug, we’d all still have to wait for it to pass certification.
However, people are not hopeful that this is the case, as Studio Wildcard has a history of not fixing bugs and issues. This one is too pressing to ignore, but players don’t believe they’re responding as quickly as they could.
This shocking report appeared in a Steam Discussion reporting on this saving issue. It appears that not only is the game not saving, but also existing saves seem prone to corruption. This bug is much more severe than it should be considering that the team supposedly built the game again from the ground up.
