PlayStation 5 Slim with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

We’re coming up on halfway through this console generation, and it’s the first time current-gen consoles are actually available to buy from retailers and not scalpers. That, paired with the fact that there are several great PS5 games to enjoy, means there’s never been a better time to buy a PlayStation 5, especially the PlayStation 5 Slim.

The PlayStation 5 Slim has the same exact specs as a regular PlayStation 5, but it’s smaller, has a detachable disc drive, and has a bigger SSD. With this bundle, you’ll save money on a PlayStation 5 Slim and get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. This is the best deal around if you’re looking to finally get a PlayStation 5.

I’m not even a diehard fan of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, but I must admit that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is an incredible game and the obvious pick between this and Modern Warfare 3 — which is also an option for this bundle.

Xbox Series S with two white wireless controllers and three months of Game Pass Ultimate

If you’re more into Xbox than PlayStation, then you can’t miss this Xbox Series S deal. There are Xbox Series X deals happening as well, but the Xbox Series S is the same thing as the Xbox Series X, but it’s smaller and cheaper. It has a smaller SSD, so you can’t keep as many downloaded games on it at one time, but you can always buy another SSD to make that bigger.

After researching all the Xbox deals online, I dubbed this one of the best because you get an Xbox Series S, two Xbox controllers, and three months of Game Pass Ultimate. I would’ve loved this deal even without the three months of Game Pass, but it really is the cherry on top.

Xbox Game Pass is the best deal in gaming — it’s like Netflix for video games, and Microsoft has a huge library of amazing games in the Game Pass library, which gets Day One games frequently. Instead of buying individual games, you can buy this bundle and get access to a plethora of games, and you can play them with a friend or family member since you’re getting two controllers.

YCCTEAM wireless Switch Pro controller

I love playing games on Nintendo Switch, but I hate using the Joy-Cons. Level up your Nintendo gaming experience by getting a Switch Pro controller… well, a knock-off Switch Pro controller with great reviews and a great price tag.

Controllers, regardless if they are for Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch, rarely ever go on sale. However, the one console that upgrading your controller makes a huge difference on is the Switch. Because of that, I highly recommend this well-made Switch Pro controller from YCCTEAM.

XPS gaming PC

Xps Dell Pc

Yes, flashier gaming PCs do exist, but you won’t find a better bang for your buck than with this XPS gaming PC. If you’re like me and not one for RGB but would rather have the highest specs for the least amount of money, this is your answer.

I built my own PC, but if I didn’t want to do that and was in the market for a solid PC that will last for years, I’d buy this XPS gaming PC today. Right now, it’s $400.00 off, which is one of the best deals I’ve found online for gaming PCs, and this PC comes with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. If that’s all mumbo jumbo to you, just know that they are really great specs that can run any game out today and for the next 10 years.

On the Dell website, you can buy this XPS gaming desktop as is, which is great, or you can further customize the PC with upgraded specs. The choice is yours, but my recommendation is to get this PC if you’re in the market.

Samsung 34″ G85SB OLED curved gaming monitor

Samsung Gaming Monitor

If you need a new gaming monitor to go with your new gaming PC, I highly recommend the Samsung 34″ G85SB OLED curved gaming monitor. If you buy it soon, you’ll save $600.00, which is huge.

Just to run through some of the specs, this Samsung gaming monitor is curved, which is awesome, it has HDR10+, supports up to 175Hz, and an OLED G8 screen. In short, this is one of the finest monitors on the market and it’s available now at a great price.

Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop

If you’re looking for an amazing gaming experience on the go, look no further than the Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop. Not only does this gaming laptop have some seriously impressive specs, but it’s easily the best deal on this entire list since you’re saving $800.00.

The Nitro 5 has an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor, a 144 Hz display, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD. While this isn’t as impressive as the Dell XPS, for a gaming laptop, it doesn’t get much better.

This laptop can run almost every game available today and will be able to for many years to come. You may need to lower the graphics settings on some games to improve performance, but the Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop is an amazing option at an amazing price.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Let’s move on to games! I’ve found four great games that were released this year that already have discounts. First is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which got fairly high reviews. I actually have yet to play this one, but I’m a huge fan of older Assassin’s Creed games, and this one is a return to form from the RPG AC games.

Hogwarts Legacy

Though it’s totally understandable if you skip this one, a game many people have loved this year is Hogwarts Legacy. I love the charm of Hogwarts, and to me, while not perfect, Hogwarts Legacy captures that magic (for lack of a better word) with an interesting narrative and through exploring every nook and puzzle of the Hogwarts Castle and flying around the Highlands via broomstick.

Sadly, for some, the Xbox Series X|S version of Hogwarts Legacy is slightly cheaper than the PlayStation 5 one here, but there’s a discount to be had either way.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Even with 2023 being such an incredible year for video games, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor easily lands in my top 10 games of the year. It’s a direct sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and it continues the story in an interesting and fun way. Personally, I think Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the most alive Star Wars game to date with its beautiful open-world areas to explore and immersive, diverse combat.

LEGO 2K Drive

Finally, if you’re looking for something for a younger and more casual audience, LEGO 2K Drive is a great open-world racing game that came out this year. You get to customize your own car and race your way to the top. Hopefully, something on this list helps you round out your holiday shopping!
