Persona 3 Reload: Precious Hand weakness

A rare and pesky enemy

If you come across this finicky Precious Hand in Persona 3 Reload, you’re probably wondering what its weakness is.

You’ll need to take it down quickly before it decides to run away. Precious Hands can reward you pretty nicely, and you’re lucky just to come across one.

What is the Precious Hand’s weakness in Persona 3 Reload?

There were too many times when I’ve been up against a Precious Hand and have been on the losing side. This is typically because, on its second turn, it’ll run away. To avoid this in Persona 3 Reload, you need to know the weakness of the Precious Hand, which is the Dark element.

If you have a Persona with the Eiga skill, this will deal weak Dark damage to one enemy. You’ll have to either get a Skill Card for Eiga, or play around with Persona fusions to get a Persona with Eiga. Even though the Precious Hand’s only weakness is Dark damage, it’s not resistant to any other element.

The only problem with the Precious Hand is how agile it is. Any skill that doesn’t deal Dark damage will most likely not hit it. Even when I hit it with Eiga it’ll occasionally miss the attack entirely. If you can somehow have a party member lower Precious Hand’s evasion and accuracy with Sukunda (Yukari has this skill) before hitting it with Eiga, the Precious Hand will fall prone and you can get an All-Out-Attack on it.

This should be the end of the fight, and you’ll typically receive a rare item and a generous amount of EXP. If you’re struggling to spot Precious Hands, you can find them on your map with a red dot outlined with yellow.

You can even increase your chances of finding Precious Hands using the Rarity Fortune. Once you unlock Club Escapade (requires level two Courage), you can pay the Fortune Teller 3,000 yen for a Rarity Fortune.

Make sure to get this the same day you’re going to Tartarus, as it’ll only take effect the day you get this Fortune. Speaking of fortunes, Elizabeth’s request about experimenting with fortune telling has to do with buying a Rarity Fortune.
