How to make an Egg Power 3 sandwich in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The new sandwich mechanic in Generation Nine is extremely useful for various activities. One of the best sandwiches to make is one that gives Egg Power. The Egg Power buff greatly increases the chance of an egg spawning in a Picnic basket, speeding up the process of breeding.
The highest level Egg Power buff you can get in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in Egg Power 3. To get the Egg Power 3 buff, the best recipe to use is 1 Lettuce, 1 Salty Herba Mystica, and 1 Sweet Herba Mystica. However, it’s debatable if you should pursue Egg Power 3 in the first place.

When compared to Egg Power 2, Egg Power 3 only gives a marginal improvement yet is much more expensive to make. Herba Mystica can only be acquired post-game from Tera Raids, and is generally best saved for Shiny Sandwiches instead. Due to this, it is a better idea to settle for Egg Power 2 and save your Herba Mystica.
If you want to make an Egg Power 2 sandwich, the best recipe to use is 3 Bananas, 1 Butter, and 1 Peanut Butter. These ingredients are much easier to acquire than what is required to make an Egg Power 3 Sandwich in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Alternatively, you can purchase the ‘Compote du Fils’ dish from the Gastronomie En Famille restaurant found in the west of Cascarrafa.
