Pokemon Scarlet Violet Meal Power Sandwich

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How to get Sparkling Meal Power Level 3

Sandwiches solve all of our problems.

The series staple Shiny Pokémon return once more in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and they remain just as elusive as ever. When wandering around the open world, players only have a one in 4,096 chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon. Although you can now spot Shiny Pokémon before battling them, unlike in most of the past entries, that only grants so much solace with odds that low. Fortunately, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet make Shiny hunting a bit more bearable thanks to the Meal Power mechanic. By making and eating the right sandwich, players can achieve Sparkling Meal Power Level 3, which will increase the Shiny spawn rate by a hefty amount.

So, how does one achieve this tantalizing Meal Power? The answer lies in the Herba Mystica, a special herb that led to the existence of the Titan Pokémon. To obtain an Herba Mystica, you will have to emerge victorious in either a five-star or six-star Tera Raid Pokémon battle. From there, you simply add a combination of two Herba Mysticas to the sandwich alongside a cucumber, pickle, and three servings of another ingredient. By adding three of a specific ingredient, certain Pokémon types will have a higher spawn rate.

This recipe chart made by Twitter user @tak2525tak and translated by @SilentDestroySR goes into detail regarding which ingredients players can use to reach Sparkling Meal Power Level 3 in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It shows the effects of specific ingredients as well as which ingredient combinations players should avoid.

Although Prima Games specifically suggests using the Bitter and Spicy Herba Mysticas, the recipe chart by @tak2525tak says that most combinations of Bitter, Spicy, Salty, Sour, and Sweet Herba Mysticas will work as long as only two are used. Following the chart will, hopefully, give players an edge in finding their favorite Shiny Pokémon.
