In NBA 2K24, there are two Affiliations: Elite and Rise. They are different in visual style and what perks you get.

Elite features a futuristic sci-fi-themed city and Rise features an Atlantis-themed city with a huge Kraken and Poseidon. Aesthetics shouldn’t have the most sway over which Affiliation you pick, but it can affect your choice.

The major differences between Elite and Rise are the perks you’ll get. Elite focuses more on defense and shooting and Rise focuses more on finishers and playmaking.

  • Rise
    • Heat Check Gameplay Boost
      • Get rewarded for your hot hand from the perimeter after knocking down some outside shots.
    • Finishing Boost
      • Earn a permanent boost to your finishing attributes.
    • Playmaking Boost
      • Permanent boost to playmaking attributes.
  • Elite
    • Two-Way Tenacity Gameplay Boost
      • Make a big play on one end of the floor and earn yourself a boost for the next possession when going the other way.
    • Defense Boost
      • Earn a permanent boost to your defense attributes.
    • Shooting Boost
      • Permanent boost to your shooting attributes.

Best Affiliation in NBA 2K24 – Elite or Rise?

It’s hard to say which Affiliation is better in NBA 2K24. It just depends on what you want to focus on more. Plus, the visuals of one Affiliation over the other can sway what you pick slightly.

Personally, I’d go with Elite because the city is cooler and I’d rather get shooting and defense perks. But that’s just my opinion, and the good news is you can switch whenever you want.

Can you switch Affiliations in NBA 2K24?

You can switch your Affiliation whenever you want in NBA 2K24, but there is a cost.

Each Affiliation has REP, which is basically your level in the club. After joining an Affiliation, you start at a Rookie 1 REP level. However, if you switch Affiliations, your REP will reset, which means you’ll need to start all over again.
