Solo Leveling Arise: How to become Night Lord and unlock a second weapon

One isn't enough.

Upon jumping into Solo Leveling: Arise and getting out of the tutorial you’re probably ready to get a second weapon after seeing the option available. But it’s locked, and asks you to become a Night Lord first, so here’s how to unlock a second weapon in Solo Leveling: Arise.

At the start of the game, Sung Jinwoo only has one weapon slot available, with the second one locked. If you attempt to tap on the second slot it tells you to get Night Lord first, but how does that work? You can unlock a second weapon in Solo Leveling: Arise by changing to the Night Lord job in the Job menu.

Night Lord is one of the many jobs that Sung Jinwoo can unlock, and if you select the Job icon on his character menu you’ll see that after Assassin is Night Lord. Here are the prerequisites to unlocking the Night Lord Job:

  • Clear Story Chapter 6 <Revenge>.
  • Reach level 15 with Sung Jinwoo.
  • Clear a gate that is C-Rank or higher.

With any new job in Solo Leveling: Arise comes a new appearance, new skills, new Blessing Stones, and much more. If you’re just starting Solo Leveling: Arise and have left the tutorial, you’re probably sitting at around level seven. Just continue playing story chapters and exploring dungeons through different Gate types to level up.

Once you unlock the Night Lord Job, Sung Jinwoo will have the option to wield a second weapon. After Night Lord you’ll be able to unlock further Jobs, such as Necromancer, Monarch of Shadows, and Monarch of Shadows – Seize the Throne.

Although I haven’t gotten far enough to try out the rest of the Jobs, I would assume that any Job past Night Lord allows you to wield two weapons at one time. Sung Jinwoo is also the only character who can wield two weapons, all the other Hunters must use one at a time. Speaking of Hunters, if you want to unlock them through Draws you’ll need to farm Essence Stones.
