Moonstone Axe high-damage build

According to the streamer Syrobe, this is one of the most OP Hades 2 builds as it got him all the way to the final boss Chronos. Using the Moonstone Axe, Syrobe created a high-damage fast-attacking build. Here’s how it’s recreated:

  • Aphrodite Boons
    • Glamour Gain (LV. 2): In each Encounter, one foe is always Weak. You gradually restore Magick near Weak foes.
    • Sweet Surrender: Weak-afflicted foes take more damage.
    • Healthy Rebound: Whenever you exit a Location, restore 100% Life if you have not lost too much.
  • Poseidon Boons
    • Flood Control: After you enter a Location, Prime 30 Magick to reduce any damage you would take.
    • Double Up: Whenever you claim a Minor FInd or similar resource reward, a copy may appear.
    • Wave Flourish: Your Specials hit with a splash that knocks other foes away.
  • Arachne dresses
    • Emerald Dress: Don a +50 Armor Outfit that makes you restore two Life whenever you exit a Location.
  • Apollo Boons
    • Super Nova: Your Casts expand in size until they expire.
    • Nova Strike (LV. 4): Your Attacks deal more damage in a larger area.
    • Blinding Sprint (LV. 2): Your Spring is faster and inflicts Daze on nearby foes.
    • Solar Ring: After your Cast expires, rapidly deal damage in the area for two Sec.
  • Hermes Boons
    • Swift Strike: Your Attacks are faster.
    • Tall Order: While you have at least two of each Element, you deal more damage.
  • Selene Boons
    • Moon Water: Your Hex restore 25 Life up to three times, which resets whenever you use Fountain.
  • Daedalus Boons
    • Empowering Guard: After blocking a foe with your Special, deal +50% damage for 15 Sec.
    • Hell Splitter: Your Attack becomes a big chop with 300 Power.

Witch’s Staff stat-regenerating build

As I’ve put my blood, sweat, and tears into playing through Hades 2, I have a build of my own that I would recommend to any player struggling to make it through the dungeons. I personally love the Witch’s Staff since it can deal with mid-range attacks and is faster than most weapons. Here’s which Boons I recommend:

  • Aphrodite Boons
    • Healthy Rebound: Whenever you exit a Location, restore 100% Life if you have not lost too much.
  • Arachne dresses
    • Azure Dress: Don a +40 Armor Outfit that makes you restore five Magick every Sec.
    • Emerald Dress: Don a +50 Armor Outfit that makes you restore two Life whenever you exit a Location.
  • Artemis Boons
    • First Blood: Foes with at least 80% Life or 80% Armor may take Critical damage.
    • Death Warrant: A random foe occasionally becomes Marked. If it takes Critical damage, this repeats.
  • Chaos Boons
    • Paralyzing Blood: For the next four Encounter(s), whenever you take damage, you are stunned for 0.9 Sec. Afterward, whenever you exit a Location, restore 20 Life.
    • Excruciating Will: For the next 5 Encounters, you take +33% damage. Afterward, restore 8.5 Magick every 1 Sec.
  • Demeter Boons
    • Arctic Ring: Your Casts repeatedly deal damage in the area and inflict Freeze.
  • Echo Boons
    • Survive Survive Survive: Replace all spent uses of Death Defiance with ones that restore 50% Life and Magcik, then less and less.
  • Hephaestus Boons
    • Volcanic Strike: Your Attacks occasionally create a blast that deals 200 Damage in the area.
    • Uncanny Fortitude: Gain bonus Max Life based on your Magick limit.
  • Hermes Boons
    • Witty Retort: Your Hex requires less Magick before it is ready.
    • Nitro Boost: Your Sprint is 20% faster and gives you a barrier that ignores instances of damage.
  • Hestia Boons
    • Burnt Offering: Gain Max Life and Max Magick, but give up 1 Boon selected by Hestia.
    • Hearth Gain: Rapidly restore Magick, but you have -20% Max Life.

    • Flood Control: After you enter a Location, Prime 30 Magick to reduce damage.
  • Selene Boons
    • Moon Water: Your Hex restores 25 Life up to 3 times, which reset whenever you use Fountains.

Sister Blades fast-attacking build

Retromation on Youtube shared the incredible build that gave him a huge boost in Max Life and Max Magick. It also allowed him to attack with his Sister Blades faster, as well as Channel quickly. Since this was created during the technical test it only got him to Hecate in Erebus, but it’s still worth trying out.

  • Daedalus Boons
    • Hook Knives: Your Specials return to you and deal +50% damage striking foes from behind.
  • Selene Boons
    • Twilight Curse: Your Hex launches a seeking projectile that inflicts Morph on up to 10 susceptible foes.

    • Ice Flourish: Your Specials deal more damage and inflict Freeze.

  • Arachne dresses
    • Lavender Dress: Don a +30 Armor Outfit that makes you Channel 40% faster.
  • Hephaestus Boons
    • Smithy Sprint: After you Sprint for 1 Sec., use 10 Magick to create a blast that deals damage to nearby does.

Witch’s Staff fire elemental build

Andy Cortex put together this fantastic build focused on Scorch damage from Hestia’s Boons. Choosing Boons that deal one type of elemental damage can reward you with amazing damage scores.
