What is A-Dead-Legend in Call of Duty?

Look, ma, I can get paid to play video games!

Since Call of Duty has been exploding over the last decade, it makes perfect sense why some players would go pro in the shooter. They can stand out from the rest of the players based on talent and skill alone. So much so that E-Sports teams began popping up all over the world in the last few years. In basketball, we have Michael Jordan, in hockey, we have Wayne Gretzky. These guys are considered two of the best players in their sport. For the Call of Duty E-Sports scene, this is identical. When sports players are good enough, they can inducted into a Hall of Fame. In Call of Duty, these are called “A-Dead-Legend”, and we’ll explain what this means below.

How do players become a Legend?

In one phrase: Getting good. They’ve been in and won so many tournaments by playing on some of the iconic maps. Their skill and how they play have pushed them into the upper echelon of the community, making them important long after they have left the scene. It’s a lot of hard work and Red Bull. But these players managed to ascend the ranks which has given them the status of Legend.

Why are these players important?

These Call of Duty players can help shape the community of the games. Plus, it helps to know that there’s a certain standard of play to achieve greatness in the shooter. Meaning, that other players want to aspire to become like that. So playing online becomes training to get better. This helps the game and community grow because everyone sees becoming A-Dead-Legend is attainable now.
