Best ways to get Bomb Flowers in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

Here's how to farm Bomb Flowers in TOTK.

Bomb Flowers are one of the strongest items in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Whether you’re struggling with hard bosses or a group of tough enemies, one or two well-placed Bomb Flower shots can make your troubles go away… as long as you’re not standing too close to the blast zone. Then, you’ll have another problem on your hands. Here is the best way to farm Bomb Flowers in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom: Best ways to farm Bomb Flowers

There are two ways that I like to farm Bomb Flowers in Tears of the Kingdom: head west from Nisoij Lightroot to Iayusus and use the duplicate items method.

While I recommend you use the Depths, here are a few of the best places to find Bomb Flowers in Tears of the Kingdom:

  • Popla Foothills North Well
  • Hateno Village Wells
  • Hyrule Field Chasm

Farm Bomb Flowers — In the Depths

The most simple way to farm Bomb Flowers is to go to the Depths. You might as well kill two birds with one stone and unlock the Autobuild ability by going down the Hyrule Field Chasm which is located just north of Jiosin Shrine.

Once here, you can travel from Nisoij Lightroot to Iayusus Lightroot by traveling directly west. Along the way, you’ll see Bomb Flowers grow around the thick, mossy green trees. You’ll be able to snag two or three Bomb Flowers per tree which will net you around 20 Bomb Flowers.

After farming this spot, wait for the Blood Moon to reset everything and then head back down. This can be your new infinite source of Bomb Flowers.

Farming Bomb Flowers — The duplicate method

Speaking of an infinite source of Bomb Flowers, if you want an endless supply, try the duplicate items method. I highly recommend you read our guide that our very own Daniel Pinheiro wrote as it will explain the duplicate technique in more detail. Nintendo is hard at work patching glitches like this, so by the time you read this, the duplication method may already be patched.

For the TL;DR, to duplicate any item in the game, simply Fuse the item you want (in this case, a Bomb Flower) to a bow and arrow. Drop that Fused bow and equip another one. Then, as fast as you can, exit and re-enter the menu. You can then leave the menu and pick up both bows on the ground. If you exited and re-entered the menu fast enough, you’ll notice that you have one more of the item you are trying to duplicate.

You can spend as much time as you want farming an infinite source of Bomb Flowers with the duplication technique. It is my favorite way to get Bomb Flowers, but it isn’t that fun since it is so repetitive. When I do this method, I make sure to watch YouTube or listen to a podcast to pass the time while I continue to duplicate.
