Where to find Halsin the Druid in Baldur’s Gate 3

Where could Halsin be hiding?

In Baldur’s Gate 3, you’re likely to come across the Save the First Druid quest early on. This tasks you with finding a Druid named Halsin. Unfortunately for us, Halsin has gone missing somewhere in Goblin territory. At this point, the game doesn’t outright tell you where he currently is. So, if you’re struggling to find Halsin in Baldur’s Gate 3, here’s the solution.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Where to find Halsin

In case you’re just looking for a hint to find Halsin in Baldur’s Gate 3, we’ll start this off by pointing you in the right direction. The Goblin settlement your looking for lies to the west of the Emerald Grove. There’s only one path that leads directly west, so just follow it along. Eventually, you’ll reach the Blighted Village which is overrun with Goblins. Afterward, keep heading west to eventually find the Goblin Camp. This is where can get pretty hard with combat encounters if you aren’t careful.

Then just follow the path of the camp and head north to approach a rundown castle infested with Goblins. Just proceed north through this camp and you’ll find the Shattered Sanctum, where Halsin can be found. Use the map below to help guide you through these areas.

Bear in mind that you’ll be traveling through Goblin territory and will need to deal with them at various points. A character with high Charisma and a plus to Deception and Intimidation can convince most of the Goblins to leave the party alone. This is Baldur’s Gate 3 though so fighting them all is possible.

Where to find Halsin in the Shattered Sanctum

The Shattered Sanctum is a rather big area with plenty of characters to interact with and loot to find. But if you’re looking for Halsin the solution is rather easy. Head up to the northeast part of the area and you’ll find a door that’s frankly easy to miss. Proceed through this door to enter the Worg Pens.

Once you’re in this area, look to the northeast again to find Goblins bothering a bear behind a cage. If you approach you’ll have the option to defend the bear or join in by throwing rocks at it. If you can’t tell by now, this bear is in fact Halsin. No matter what you choose, Halsin will break free of the cell. However, if you join in on throwing rocks, you’ll have to fight and kill him. So if you want to resolve this quest in a positive way, you’ll need to help Halsin break free. With Halsin on your side, a small group of Goblins won’t be much trouble at all.

But that’s all you need to do to find Halsin Baldur’s Gate 3. Be very careful you don’t accidentally kill him. And if the worst does happen, make sure someone in your party has a Speak with Dead spell to get the information you need from Halsin.
